The grade guide
A letter is only part of the story.
NYC grades reflect inspection points at the time of grading. Lower scores are generally better, but a score and an assigned letter grade are not interchangeable.
Grade B
14–27 points at the time of grading
Grade C
28 or more points at the time of grading
Grades can be pending, corrected, or absent. No recorded violations should never be read as a guarantee of safety.
